Day 09 – Tour de Finnmark 2016: Billefjord – Lakselv – Skoganvarre

Gloomy day today. Soon after started cycling dark clouds covered the horizon in all directions (that’s one of the reasons of reduced amount of pictures) and it rained at bursts. So it was like putting all the time waterproof clothes on and off. You can’t really keep them on all the time, it gets hot while cycling. No matter how good is the equipment you have, breathable and everything: if it’s hot, you sweat, so the only way is to reduce the layers.

Today was also the last time I saw the Arctic Sea at the end of the Porsanger fjord. After that road E6 goes straight inland towards Finland, meaning also towards the end of my journey. The scenery changed, the road was quite flat, and forest made its return. With mosquitoes, I almost forgot them. Fortunately I took with me my “net-hat”!

That's something you find in Norway: for the next seven kilometres no pictures, you cannot even stop
