For satellite portable I use an FT-817 with the Arrow Antenna II. Sometimes I couple my FT-817 with an FT-857 for full duplex.

Working mainly satellites from several locations, home locator KP25ra, occasionally from KP34uf and other locations around the world.
NOTE for SSB satellites. When working /P I’m working half duplex with an FT-817 (5W), so please note the following:
- FO-29: I’ll use fixed TX frequency of 145.960 MHz LSB (no doppler adjustment)
- AO-7: I’ll use fixed TX frequency of 432.162 MHz LSB (no doppler adjustment)
NOTE for LoTW users: I update QSOs almost immediately, but please make sure to use the right call, with prefix and suffix. E.g. for Svalbard it is JW/OH8FKS/P
When logging a satellite QSO, please enter the uplink (TX) frequency as the QSO frequency!
Base station rig is TS-2000 with a Windom OCF dipole for HF, HB9CV Duoband 2m/70cm and Arrow Antenna II for Satellites. For satellite portable I use an FT-817 with the Arrow Antenna II.
