So it seems that rainy days were left for the end. Actually today it was the first time that I had to delay the departure due to rain. Bursty rain same as yesterday. Which is not a problem when you’re on a holiday: it’s actually nice to lay down in the tent listening to the sound of raindrops. Being well inland, wind was calm and temperature higher (like 14 degrees), so it doesn’t make you feel in a real hurry.
Anyway sooner or later you have to start, even because it was clear this was a rainy day just by looking at the sky. While cycling I started wondering that after all weather hasn’t been that bad during the journey: although mostly cloudy, it didn’t rain during the most important stages of the trip, so I can’t complain that much. And while getting closer to the end of the day, even a rainbow showed up, just at the border like it was welcoming me back to Finland.
Getting back to Finland also means the end of this year’s cycling tour: thanks to all of you who had the patience to read these lines, it’s been a very nice 890-km ride!
